The Tempest
This Summer we are teaming up with Untold Theatre!!
We're producing an exciting new adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'.
Set against a backdrop of mass migration and political corruption, fragments of verbatim journalism and striking projection punctuate Shakespeare's original scenes.
This production is a collaboration in recognition of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.
There will be a collection at each performance in support of Doctors Without Boarders.

Trinity Arts Centre, Gainsborough William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night or What You Will is one of his best loved comedies worldwide. Yellowbelly Theatre’s rendition is set shortly after the First World War. The story follows Viola, a young lady who disguises herself as a man to work for a Count whom she later falls in love with, only to be pursued by the woman the count loves. Yellowbelly Theatre's debut performance was a fantastic success, here are some of the responses: "We, (not the Royal We) enjoyed your performance of “Twelfth Night”. The players were confident, alert, eager, accomplished, refreshing, and professional. Is there such an organization as The Friends of the Yellowbelly Theatre? We thank you for having provided us with such an entertaining evening." - Ruth & Harry Hanham "Thank you so much for your production of Twelfth Night at the Trinity Arts Centre. It was absolutely lovely: intelligent, attractive, and immensely enjoyable; and we were blown away by the singing at the end. This is with all our good wishes for your future. We'll come to see you again!" - Jaqueline & Jenny Dawson "I really enjoyed this show; the style made it feel so authentic - strolling players doing a fantastic professional job! Well done - I have seen many more famous productions - but I haven't seen a better one! You deserve great success and I'm sure the Bard himself would approve of your enterprise and commitment." - Veronica Eden |
